Q – Who will be the tutor for the Painting Holidays?
A – Your tutors are experienced and gifted artists John Glover and Sue Ford. The name of the tutor is listed for each Painting Holiday in the Holiday Dates & Prices page
Q – Do I need to be an experienced painter to come on a Painting Holiday?
A – No. Not at all. You will be coming to relax, learn and find inspiration with the guidance of experienced art tutors.
Q – Do I need to bring my own art materials and easel?
A – To help save you baggage weight when flying to Menorca – we offer hire of easels and boards. We also take orders for painting materials at the beginning of the week and source these from a good local art shop. For our Painting Holidays in Scotland, artists bring their own art materials and equipment – although we can often help with some basic materials.
Q – How do I book a Painting Holiday?
A – Simply fill in the Art Holiday Booking Form and confirm your booking with the deposit.
Q – How do I get to Menorca?

Q – How far from the airport is the hotel in Menorca?
A – The S’Algar Hotel is just 15 minutes from Mahon Airport see map. Your transfer is included in your holiday
Q – How do I get to Kirkcudbright?
A – Most people prefer to come to Kirkcudbright by road. The nearest railway station is Dumfries, which is on the Newcastle – Glasgow Line. There are regular trains. Bus services run from Dumfries to Kirkcudbright via Castle Douglas. See Where is Kirkcudbright

Q – Do I need to be an experienced photography to come on a Photography Holiday?

A – Absolutely not. These Photography Holidays are open to all levels.

Q – Do I need to bring my own camera and photographic equipment?

A – Yes – you do need your own photographic gear

Q – Will I need to bring a tripod?

A – A tripod is not essential, but there are several places and some lessons when I tripod will be a great benefit

Q – I only have a small compact digital camera – is that good enough?

A – Yes – it does not matter what sort of camera you use – Philip Dunn will show you how to get the best from it and produce beautiful photographs

A – We use the S’Algar Hotel – the best four star hotel in Menorca – it’s lovely and right by the blue Mediterranean
