A – Your tutors are experienced botanist David Hawker and professional photographer Philip Dunn.
Q – Do I need to be an experienced botanist to come on a Botany Holiday?
A – No. No great knowledge of plants is needed. All you need is a passion for wild plants and perhaps an interest in taking better photographs of them. You will be coming to relax, learn and enjoy yourself in a beautiful place with the guidance of experienced tutors.
Q – Do I need an expensive camera?
A – No, Philip Dunn will show you how to get the best from any camera – a good quality compact camera is ideal. But we will not turn you away if you have a top-of-the-range DSLR – we’ll just be envious.
Q – How do I book a Botany Holiday?
A – Simply fill in the Botany Holiday Booking Form and confirm your booking with the deposit.

Q – Is our hotel a long way from the airport in Menorca?
A – The S’Algar Hotel is just 15 minutes from Mahon Airport see Google Map. Your transfer is included in your holiday
Q – Do I need to be very fit to enjoy a Flowers & Photography Holiday in Menorca?
A – Not super fit, but you need to be active enough to get around on rough paths and uneven ground.
Q – What clothes do I need?
A -
- Good, comfortable walking shoes suitable for rugged ground
- A sun hat may prove invaluable
- Comfortable outdoor clothes – perhaps a shirt with long sleeves to protect from the sun
- Lightweight waterproof – just in case
- A piece of lightweight foam to kneel on is very useful when getting down to study & photograph flowers
