Our brilliant Scottish Country Dancing teacher Moira Stacey has been awarded one of Royal Scottish Country Dance Society’s (RSCDS) top awards.
Moira and her husband Keith are the teachers for our Scottish Country Dancing Holidays in Menorca.
The RSCDS Award, an illuminated scroll, was presented to Moira at a ceremony in Glasgow earlier this month.
The RSCDS Award is for:
- Recognition of outstanding service and loyalty to the Society.
- Maintaining the aims of preserving the standards and traditions of Scottish Country Dancing.
- Encouraging in others the knowledge and enjoyment of Scotland’s Heritage of Dance and Music
Moira gained her teachers’ certificate at Summer School in 1978, having already taught country dancing since the 1960’s. She served on the Executive Council of the RSCDS and the Summer School Committee

Many congratulations! Inspirational! An honour and a privilege to know you, Moira
